As part of our commitment to develop the knowledge, support and communication between Instructors and Examiners the ABF is introducing Continued Professional Development (CPD) Training.  The objective of CPD Training is to improve training standards and standardisation.

The first CPD session will be held online through google hangouts on Saturday 19 September 2020 at 4pm.

The session will cover three topics of approx. 20 minutes each:

  1. Common errors made by Instructors and how to avoid them – Jonathan Oehm, Operations Manager.
  2. How well do you know the Instructor Training Manual? – Darren Morgan, Training Officer.
  3. How do you train (safety) culture? Masters of safety instruction make safe pilots –Damian Gilchrist, National Safety Officer.

Canowindra International Balloon Challenge Canowindra
The Canowindra International Balloon Fiesta will be running a competition in 2021 event will run from Saturday 24th April until Sunday 2nd May. With the famous Nightglow to be held on the evening of Saturday the 1st May to provide all balloonists the opportunity to hone their skills and also to provide the Worlds team members the opportunity to practice prior to World Championship events. All balloonists are welcome and fiesta balloons are as important to us as the competitors. ...
